About Cacao:
Cacao is one of the ancient plants used by natives in Mexico, Central and part of South America. It is known as a heart opener because it stimulates blood circulation which increases activity in the brain and nervous system. As cacao physically opens the heart, it also energetically connects the mind with the heart allowing us to be in tune with ourselves and those around us.
Cacao promotes joy, acceptance and excitement for life while keeping us grounded and aware.
About Rapé/Hapé:
Rapé (also pronounced Hapé) is a tool that is used by the Indigenous in the Amazon. Usually Rapé will have a foundation of Tobacco and from there other ingredients will be added such as plant & tree material, and/or ashes from certain plants & trees.
When used in an intentional ceremonial setting, Rapé helps clear energetic/spiritual blockages. This tool can aid us in grounding and centering our internal energies, as well as increase the concentration and clarity of our mind. In doing so, rapé can help us with prayer, meditation, and setting an intention in our lives.
Join us in this cacao ceremony as we dive into the depths of ourselves and discover the true meaning of joy. In this journey, we will discover how to revive our true nature and live in accordance to the joy within our hearts.
About the facilitators:
Carolina Leal and Shane Rose. Carolina has been working and training with natives in Peru for over ten years, where she received the title of Paqo or Inca mesa carrier. She has been part of and has hosted multiple national and international plant medicine and self-discovery retreats. Shane has been working with ancestral plant medicines for over six years.
